THE REMAINS #1 Available + Inks

I'm so happy to finally start sharing this incredible story with you! I've been having much more fun with it than I even imagined I could. Something I particularly find enjoyable about it is that the horror seeps through the entire story, from the fear of what lurks in the shadows to something all too human. Big thanks to Monkeybrain Comics. It's such a trip to work with Cullen Bunn and, as always, Carlos Nicolas Zamudio.

In celebration of the release, here are the first 3 pages, just inks. I'll add them to my gallery. Cheers, folks! Let me know what you think!

Announcing THE REMAINS

"The dead rats danced the day the hired man came around."

And he's almost arrived. Yes, the bloodcurdling horror story I've been working on from Monkeybrain Comics with Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun, Helheim) and my husband Carlos Nicolas Zamudio is available to pre-order the first issue or subscribe to the series on Comixology HERE. It's no secret that Cullen is one of my favorite writers, and "The Remains" is definitely a good story of his. It's been such a thrill to work on, and I'm excited to share it with you!
See the preview and synopsis below.

Synopsis:
Birdie and her younger sister Abigail live on a struggling farm. Their mother is several months pregnant and their father suffers from crippling rheumatism. When an itinerant farmhand appears, the children should be relieved. Instead, they find their lives spiraling into nightmare. The hired man regards Birdie with menacing desire. To make matters much worse, wherever he goes, the dead grow restless. As the horror threatens to consume her home and her family, Birdie haunted by a chilling warning:
Some secrets are meant only for the dead.
